Coworking in Bansko isn’t just about having a desk and fast Wi-Fi. It’s about finding your people, joining events, and building a routine that blends productivity with adventure. With several spaces to choose from, each with a very different vibe, it can be tricky to decide which one is right for you.
This guide breaks down the main coworking spaces in Bansko, plus a couple of alternatives if you’d rather work from cafés.
Do you really need a coworking in Bansko?
The short answer: not necessarily.
If you’re on a tight budget, you can get by working from home or in cafés with good Wi-Fi. Bansko is small and safe, so plenty of nomads skip formal coworking memberships.
Just keep in mind that internet speeds in town can be a little inconsistent, especially in cafés or some apartment rentals. Having a reliable eSIM (my personal favorite is Airalo) is a game-changer, it gives you mobile data you can tether to your laptop if the Wi-Fi drops, so you’re never caught without a connection.
That said, joining a coworking space makes a huge difference in how connected you feel. Events, workshops, and spontaneous meetups all start there. If you’re new in town, coworkings are the fastest way to meet people and feel part of the community.
The coworking spaces in Bansko
Nestwork
If you’re looking for focus above all else, Nestwork is the place. This coworking has a quiet, studious atmosphere, making it ideal if you’re here to put your head down and get serious work done.
Don’t expect much social activity. Nestwork runs one weekly event, but otherwise it’s all about productivity. If you don’t already know people in town, this might not be the best coworking for making friends.
Although there is also a ping pong table, and coffee is great, so those are big pluses.
The upside? You’ll have an ultra-focused work environment and can still join community events around Bansko to meet people in other ways.
Coworking Bansko
You might recognize the name, since Coworking/Coliving Bansko bought out the branding from the original Coworking Bansko that once ran the first Bansko Nomad Festival. They now offer both coliving and coworking options.
On paper, it looks like a great choice. But in reality, the coworking vibe has faded. Think of it less as a dynamic coworking and more like a paid café or hotel lobby. You’ll find some snacks and drinks available for purchase, but don’t expect a strong community or many organized events.
They often host community events there though, so you’ll see it in action at least once during your visit.
Still, if you want a casual space with food and drink on hand, it can be a decent spot for an occasional work session.
AltSpace
Ask around town, and you’ll hear one name again and again: AltSpace. This coworking has quickly become a favorite among nomads in Bansko.
AltSpace has three locations (Central, Downtown, and The Summit), each with a different layout and vibe. Your membership gives you access to all of them, so you can switch up your environment depending on the day.
What makes AltSpace stand out is the balance of productivity and community. They host plenty of social events, accountability sessions, and workshops to keep members engaged. It’s a great space to make friends while still getting work done.
